Board Chairman, CEO, CSO
Josh Hawes has spent more than 15 years working at the intersection of global capital, international supply chains, advanced technology, and geopolitical strategy.
His career spans commodities, investment banking, and strategic resource development, with responsibility for more than $1 billion in assets and over $500 billion in notional market transactions. That experience gives him a firsthand understanding of the financial systems, resource dependencies, and economic pressures that can shape decisions far beyond the markets themselves.
Josh has advised executive leadership within the White House and Department of Defense on economic implications and geopolitical resource security. In his role as Chief Strategy Officer at USA Rare Earth, he led efforts to develop secure North American supply chains against a backdrop of global competition and strategic dependence.
For Arcana House, Josh brings the economic and geopolitical architecture behind the story: how capital moves, how supply chains become matters of national security, how control of critical resources can shift power, and how decisions made in boardrooms, markets, and government offices reverberate across borders.
That lens helps uncover the forces operating beneath the visible conflict, including the financial pressure, resource competition, and strategic interests that can set an entire story in motion.
